The Ultimate Bridal Beauty Timeline: When to Start Prepping Your Skin and Makeup
Hey, beautiful brides-to-be! Your wedding day will be one of the most photographed moments of your life, and I want you to feel radiant with your enhanced, natural beauty.
What is the key to flawless wedding makeup? A custom, quality skincare and beauty prep routine. My goal is for your skin is to achieve a comfortable hydration level that will keep you glowing and provide staying power for your makeup on your wedding day.
Here’s a timeline I recommend ensuring your skin is glowing and your makeup is perfect on your big day.
3-6 Months Before
- Start in-house facials with me. I recommend a treatment every 4-6 weeks so we can really see some improvements before the big day. Some treatment approaches could include skin rejuvenation, peels, brightening and hydrating, or even back care if you have an open back dress.
- Start an elevated at-home skincare routine. After a consultation with me, I can prescribe you high-quality products that will target any specific needs you may have – hydration, dullness, breakouts, etc. Keeping up with this routine between facial appointments will make all the difference!
- Schedule your bridal makeup trial to find your perfect look. We could always do this right after a facial so your skin is plump and makeup ready.
- Be sure to drink plenty of water and use SPF daily.
1 Month Before
- Exfoliate 1-2 times per week for a smooth, glowing complexion. I recommend a gentle exfoliation product, like an enzyme scrub. You don’t want anything harsh to strip your skin barrier.
1-2 Weeks Before
- Avoid new skincare products to prevent irritation or breakouts!
- Get your brows enhanced (waxed, tinted, etc) and/or lash extensions! These are two services that I offer (consider me your one-stop-shop for your bridal beauty needs!)
Wedding Day!
- Prep your skin that morning with a hydrating moisturizer and SPF.
- Relax, breathe, and trust the process—I’ve got you!
As you plan for your big day, you deserve to enjoy your engagement through a little pampering and self-care that will also revitalize your skin and give you that hydrated, radiant look! I can help alleviate second guessing your skincare routine or stress buying “magic in a bottle” products to get your skin looking its best ahead of your wedding.
